Wikimedia ČR, in cooperation with COMMUNIA, participated in the process of implementing the EU Digital Services Directive (No 2019/790) into the Czech legal system. Both organisations are working to expand the scope of the public domain (free works) and are actively engaged in this direction (not only) in legislative intentions. And how did it all work out in the end?
COMMUNIA, also thanks to Wikimedia’s input, prepared a comparison of the implementation of the so-called DSM Directive across EU Member States and gave out “imaginary” prizes; the Czech Republic is among the winners.
