Movies on Wikipedia – that’s the name of a new challenge and micro-competition for Wikipedians who like film and cinema. The challenge, which took place between two summer festivals, the Karlovy Vary IFF and the Summer Film School, attracted the attention of not only die-hard Wikipedians, but also those interested in cinema. The highlight of the challenge was the editathon of the 50th Summer Film School on Wikipedia, which among other things produced articles on the distribution company Film Europe, or photos from the festival – including photos from the award ceremony of the Association of Czech Film Clubs to the legend of Czech music and film, Mr. Jiří Suchý. However, the challenge also included articles about the cinema in Hejnice, the upcoming film by Agnieszka Holland Franz or the director Jaroslava Vošmiková.
