The fifth annual competition on Czech Wikipedia, focused on documenting the history, notable figures, and everyday life of Czechoslovakia, starts on October 28, 2024. Organized by Wikimedia Czech Republic, the contest invites participants to expand articles, create new entries, or contribute photos. The contest period runs until December 10, with accompanying events including an editathon at the Military History Institute in Prague on November 6 and a discussion with the creators of the “Přepište dějiny podcast on November 14 at SVĚT-HUB in Prague. The first hundred participants will receive socks from the Klub pánu z Ponožkovic, and top contributors will be awarded books by the Institute of History, Czech Academy of Sciences.
