Since its inception, Wikipedia has grown into a global project featuring articles across various fields and scientific disciplines. In August 2024, the Czech version of Wikipedia was even ranked as the eleventh most visited website in the Czech Republic. The Czech Wikipedia was founded in May 2002 and reached 100,000 articles within its first six years. Since then, it has grown steadily—adding approximately 60 new articles daily. Wikipedia exists in 334 language versions, with the Czech version ranking 28th, between the Finnish and Hungarian versions. The largest English version contains nearly seven million entries.
