This year’s DemocraTICon (formerly the Media Olympic Games) has just finished its final round, which took place on 26-27 March 2025 in Ostrava. The students were tasked with tasks in selected competition categories (e.g. AI, creating a course in the Elbot application of the Elpida association, etc.). One of the disciplines was the Fixing Wikipedia discipline, where students could try their hand at analysing and then improving an article for urgent repair. The article Salty Tom (eventually deleted) was selected for the teams. Students from 14 high schools across the country got hands-on practice with Wikipedia rules and recommendations, as well as writing and editing entries. For this purpose, a webinar (on youtube) by the main lecturer and a member of the jury. The three winning teams will receive valuable prizes from Wikimedia CR.
