What is Online WikiSchool?
It is a series of regular, specialized workshops that were initially aimed mainly at seniors, especially graduates of the beginner (and advanced) Seniors Writing Wikipedia courses, but are now open to all Wikipedia users.
What does the Evening WikiSchool offer?
It offers the opportunity to focus on developing specific skills that a good Wikipedian needs for their job. We will focus on techniques and tweaks that can be used in editing practice.
In the April WikiSchool we will focus on a topic related to spring and summer trips. Taking and uploading photos is an important part of wikipedian skills. We’ll learn about useful tools for finding unphotographed places (Wikinity, WikiShootMe), focus not only on uploading photos to Wikimedia Commons (uploading a set of photos of a cultural site), proper categorization, choosing the right template, but also look at how to use photos on Wikidata and Wikipedia. Wikischool is led by lecturer Jana Sekyrová.
The online Wikischool will take place on Tuesday 15 April 2025 from 17:00 to 18:30.
You can sign up here and find all the rest of the information and details there.
Don’t hesitate to register, as the workshop has a limited capacity.
