Students from Gymnázium prof. Jana Patočky, Prague, took part in writing Wikipedia within Samet na školách (Velvet in Schools) project. On 12 January 2021, they wrote articles on topics from recent Czech(oslovak) history at a one-day workshop. Active learning is the best way to gain knowledge and we believe that writing Wikipedia is an educational method with great potential. During several intensive hours 12 students co-created 5 new articles under the guidance of our trainers. The articles were created within the competition of Czechoslovakia 1948–1989 WikiProject, one of the students won an award for her article about Asanace, theater play from Václav Havel.
