Workshop for students in Vodňany awakened their interest in their town

In February, a unique workshop for students took place at the Elementary School and Gymnasium in Vodňany, organised by the local Gelast Vodňanský Library. The aim of the workshop was to introduce them to how Wikipedia content is created and to try their hand at writing their own articles and uploading photos. What was the outcome of this unique event connecting pupils and students with their region? Many unique articles were created about Vodnjan’s history and present. It is evident that only a small fraction of young people manage to awaken a passion for writing Wikipedia.
