Already on 9 December 2023, a meeting of Wikipedians with the founders of the largest Czech encyclopaedia will take place on the occasion of an important life anniversary. Celebrate this anniversary with us and come and soak up the Advent atmosphere at the Scout Institute on Old Town Square in Prague!
And what kind of programme awaits us?
- 14:30 – opening of the hall, arrival
- 15:00 – opening speech, welcoming guests
- 15:10 – Chuck Smith: How I helped found the Czech Wikipedia (lecture in Esperanto with translation into Czech)
- 16:00 – Marek Blahuš: On the seventieth birthday of Miroslav Malovec (laudatio, presentation of the results of a unique wiki-archaeological research)
- 16:40 – presentation of the publication, toast, refreshments
- from 17:00 – follow-up program Seniors write Wikipedia (alumni club meeting, scanning workshop within the Czechoslovakia challenge, quiz)
- evening – 108th Prague Wikisraz (informal meeting of Wikipedians, in the same building)
- 19:30 – end of the event in the hall, possibility to stay at the main bar in the Scout Institute or move on to other venues
