As part of the ongoing Czechoslovakia in 2023 challenge, one of the events linking student groups and historical institutions also took place. The main lecturer of Wikimedia ČR Pavel Bednařík and the lecturer, Wikipedian and historian Michal Louč jointly prepared a workshop Wikipedia as a key to knowledge (of Czechoslovakia), which introduced students to the possibilities of perceiving and reflecting on history through Wikipedia, its reading and creation. The background of the Military Historical Institute did not only serve as a backdrop, the students of the Thomas Mann Gymnasium went on a guided tour of the institution after the workshop.
