How to get students to write Wikipedia? And how can we use generative AI in a meaningful way to preserve the spirit of Wikipedia and not violate the fundamental principles on which it is built?
These were exactly the questions that were the focus of the workshop How to take Wikipedia writing courses in the AI era at the National Seminar on Information Education. Participants had the opportunity to look at the concrete principles and rules of writing Wikipedia using AI chatbots and, in particular, strategies for conducting Wikipedia editing courses with students and designing them.
The workshop took place on 30 May 2024 under the guidance of the lecturer Jaroslav Mašek.
