Wiki-residency is a form of collaboration where employees of institutions, such as museums, archives, or libraries, become Wikipedians and help these institutions create and expand content on Wikipedia. Wiki-residents coordinate uploading photos, creating articles, and linking data with Wikidata. The collaboration often includes training staff and the public in editing. Examples include projects at the Museum of Eastern Bohemia or the State Regional Archive in Prague, where residents have made hundreds of photographs accessible and expanded articles on notable figures and topics. This work contributes to the free sharing of information and cultural heritage.
