After a longer break, those interested in Wikipedia activities will have a chance to meet in the capital of Czech business and shoe industry, in Zlín. In cooperation with the František Bartos Library we have prepared a workshop for seniors called Why not to be afraid of Wikipedia. It will take place on Wednesday 23 October 2024 between 10AM-12AM, and the programme also includes a space for questions. The workshop will be followed by an afternoon lecture entitled Everything you wanted to know about Wikipedia (but were afraid to ask). The lecture starts at 5PM, is free and open to the public. Both programs have been prepared and will be led by Wikimedia CR’s Senior Lecturer Pavel Bednařík. The aim of both meetings is to awaken those interested in Wikipedia and to start a regular wikiclub within the library. Will it succeed?
