During the event, a total of 513 photographs were taken, of which 284 were uploaded to Wikimedia Commons after a thorough selection process. The photography focused on various types of domestic animals – Czech Geese (we previously had only one image), chickens, pigeons, turkeys, rabbits, and ducks. Many of these photos filled content gaps on Commons, where there had previously been a lack of high-quality images of these animals.
Ivan Pavel provided expert commentary, which helped participants better understand the subject of animal breeding and contributed to the creation of high-quality content. Although the topic was not included under the Fotíme Česko project (as the animals are not geographically defined entities), we plan to promote this topic more in the future to address content gaps on Wikipedia.
Articles on this topic are currently being drafted, with sufficient materials and literature available online to ensure their quality development.
