On Tuesday, 12 November 2024, within the framework of this year’s Czechoslovakia challenge and competition, a lecture was given by Mr Martin Sovák, Head of the Department for the Use of Archival Materials and NAD Records at the State Regional Archive in Prague. This institution manages 40 km of archives, with another 40 km in the archives of Central Bohemia. The lecture focused on an overview of all Czech archives and available documents and sources that can serve as sources or documentation for Wikipedia articles. Participants actively asked questions concerning, for example, cross-border cooperation, the level and status of digitization in SOA and other topics. The sources will be used in the preparation of articles in the Czechoslovakia challenge, which runs until 12 December 2024.
